Spring House North Carolina Wedding
Spring House North Carolina Wedding. Ashley writes: "Kyle and I met in Nashville, Tenn. He is in the Army and was stationed not far from there, and I was in town for a bachelorette party for one of my sorority sisters. It was a Saturday at lunch time, and my friends and I were waiting on a ride back to our hotel after a tour, and decided to go into the BB King’s Blues Bar while we waited. We ended up standing beside Kyle and his friend, and it’s all history from there. We actually only met for about an hour that day, but when he asked for my number, we never stopped talking. We got to know each other over the next 7 weeks before he came to visit me in NC for the first time. We were able to see each other about every 2-3 weeks for the next few months, and then he got moved to Washington state. We both knew very early on that this was forever, so it was a little shock to some of my family when I wanted to marry this man 8 months after we met, but we knew what we wanted. When you find real, true love, you don’t let that get away. It’s the kind of love that makes you wish everyone could find it, the kind they write real love songs about, the kind that makes you thank God for every decision either of you made that put you in the exact location where you met, the kind you move across the country for (because I did and it was so worth it)" Kyle and Ashley chose The Spring House as their event venue, and couldn't be happier. Ashley felt that Elizabeth, event coordinator at Spring House, took care of every detail. The 1920's structure used to be home to Dr Bahnson, a prominent family in Winston Salem. The home has since been turned into a gourmet restaurant. The cozy atmosphere of the Library Bar with blazing fire, sunporch with amazing, warm afternoon light, and the general serenity of the grounds made it the perfect location for a laid-back wedding.
