Boone Hall SC Plantation Wedding
Choosing Boone Hall Plantation for their Charleston, South Carolina, wedding was obvious for Stacie and Andy. It had that exemplary Southern feel that was exactly what they wanted. It was beautiful, simple, and provided an inviting atmosphere for their guests. Stacie started her day by getting ready at the Harbour View Inn. The entire event was orchestrated by Katherine Miller from Yoj Events.
Stacie's dress featured ample floral touches with a strapless sweetheart neckline. She added a small satin pink ribbon belt with an embellishment. She accessorized with statement earrings and a small beaded hairpiece.
For her bridesmaids, Stacie gave them the option to wear dresses that spoke to their individual styles. Each lady wore a pastel hue in a length and design of her choosing. It was an original approach to wedding party style.
Andy and his groomsmen dressed in navy blue suits – a color that perfectly complemented the groom's pink boutonniere. They also chose brown shoes and bow ties to complete their looks.
The couple utilized every unique aspect of their location. Their ceremony took place at The Avenue of the Oaks, the plantation’s long entrance. The grand house served as the backdrop to their ceremony.
As her long veil fluttered in the breeze, Stacie was escorted down the drive to her awaiting groom. There, in front of the flower-adorned gates, they said “I do” with family and friends as their witnesses.
As they strolled the property to take photos with Red Apple Tree Photography, their guests retreated to the back of the property to kick off the reception.
There were pink and white roses from Frampton's Flowers everywhere, as well as a multitude of candlelight to create a romantic ambiance. The couple ingeniously hung votives from strands of pink ribbon for added softness to the natural wooden walls.
Soothing lantern light shined down on the tables, which were decorated with white linen runners and short, colorful centerpieces.
The cake from WildFlour Pastry featured a bursting gold design with small flower bunches on the sides. It cleverly sat on a wooden slab to tie in the venue’s natural elements.
One great perk to this venue is the view overlooking the Wampacheone Creek. While guests sat in rocking chairs courtesy of the bride and groom, the couple took photos near the bank to capture the cotton candy sky.
After a night of dancing and fun photo booth antics, Stacie and Andy exited their wedding in style - from a beautiful vintage car from Lowcountry Valet.
Stacie and Andy had a picturesque Southern wedding full of elegant Southern charm. And it was Boone Hall Plantation, and the clever ideas from their planner, that unlocked the magic they needed to have the wedding they'd always envisioned.
