Travelers Rest SC Wedding Shoot
Travelers Rest SC Wedding Shoot.
The mountain view from Hotel Domestique's courtyard transported us to the Italian countryside without ever traveling across the pond! This picturesque natural backdrop set the stage for a timeless and intimate wedding, inspired by simple and natural elements that are enveloped by romantic, bright, and complex colors.
Our couple would have chosen elements that perfectly married their desire for a timeless and relaxed southern wedding. In everything, they would have walked the line of where fine art, simple details meet color.
The natural tones of the invitation by Vivian Kammel paired with the romantic sweeping calligraphy matched the Italian inspired simplicity of the venue.
Hotel Domestique feels as if you are sitting in Tuscany and should be enjoying a glass or two of wine. It boasts natural and simple architecture and gorgeous view of the mountains in Traveler’s Rest.
Our couple would have their most dear friends and family at their wedding, so a table set for six overlooking the mountains would be the perfect way to celebrate together. The table settings were chosen to embody the simple versus complex contrast. Each setting had a gold rimmed glass charger, paired with a simple white modern dinner plate. We chose hand dyed blue napkins, with the most beautiful gold leaf napkin holders to drape across the white plate. Finally, modern wine glasses and gold flatware finished the table settings beautifully. A simple white cheesecloth runner was placed under three gorgeously colorful table arrangements.
Our Florist, Anastasia with Your Special Day, had the task of pairing brilliantly colored florals to complement the simplistic nature of the venue. The florals were a mixture of white, pink, peach, hints of blue, and of course a lot of greenery. Along with a beautiful bouquet and table arrangements, we had an Asymmetric floral arch filled with lush white floral with pops of color.
The cake by Tessa Pinner Cakes was a showstopper. It beautifully intertwined the classiness and elegance of our couple with the subtleness of pinks, blues, and gold.
Our real couple, Maria & Trey, were exactly the couples we love to photograph. They were kindhearted, cared about other people, and kept things fun!
Our bride’s hair and makeup was the impeccable work of Cindy Mcgrath Makeup. The makeup was kept simple which allowed for our bride’s gorgeous features to be displayed. The hair was a loosely swept back and twisted hairstyle that matched the laid back nature of our bride. To continue the minimalistic look, the Iva Crepe Maxi dress by Jill Jill Stuart was the perfect choice for our bride. While understated, it’s simple and minimalistic design didn’t need to compete with the backdrop or florals. It made its own statement without trying too hard. To finish off the look, The Chloe heel from Bella Belle’s bridal collection featured beautiful embroidered and beaded florals. The blue, pink, and peach floral designs looked as if it were made for this occasion. Plus, they offered that romantic and fine art detail that our bride appreciates.
The groom’s look was very much in the same vein as our bride’s. We felt that his curly locks were perfectly tousled! We loved the idea of a relaxed groom’s look featuring a custom navy suit and a simple white collared shirt. We felt that it encapsulated who our couple was at their core: Classy people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
