The Hall and Gardens at Landmark Wedding.

From the bride:  We got married at The Hall and Gardens at Landmark in Garner, NC. The venue was absolutely perfect because it was a giant white house that looked like a mini mansion. Not to mention they had a beautiful garden with fountains. The venue was very regal and really fit our presidential southern elegance theme. Everything from the grounds to the ballroom to the bridal suite was top notch and beyond anything I could have ever dreamed.  Joel and I are both Christians, Baptist to be specific and it was very important that we incorporated God in our ceremony, as well as some symbolic traditions. We decided to take our first communion as husband and wife and we also participated in the sand ceremony. We each poured a layer of sand into our photo frame that symbolized the joining of our families, us and love.

Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you'd like to share with other couples planning their day?

A: Do what you want! It's your day and don't let anyone try to talk you out of something you want. Also, remember that your friends and family have your best interest at heart and their questions/opinions are not meant to hurt your feelings. It can be tough in the heat of the moment when everyone's opinion is flying, even when not asked, but remember that they love you. Don't think about anything on the wedding day. Concentrate on being present in the moment. If something isn't perfect, 9 times out of 10, people won't even notice and you will forget. The day goes by so fast, so it's so important to soak in every minute, because after the wedding nobody cares. That's the sad part ha ha. Communicate about everything, respect each other and compromise.
