Fathers Day looked a little different this year for Tim Sasser and Jim Young. Today, they were given the joy of celebrating the children that made them fathers join their families as Jim's daughter, Kayla, and Tim's son, Timothy, said "I do." The two families gathered at the beautiful Bradford outside of Raleigh, NC, surrounded by those they loved most. Not dissuaded for a moment by the unusually warm June afternoon, Kelly Young glanced across the aisle as her daughter walked by, making eye contact with Shari Sasser - both smiling as they wiped tears. Today wasn't just about the joining of Timothy and Kayla as they became husband and wife; it was the joining of two families. Timothy's father and best man said it best as he shared during his toast that Kayla and Tim are the start of a new family and the joining of two others. Tim shared that Kayla not only feels like a daughter, but so do her two sisters. As family members reached for blush linen napkins to wipe tears, they nodded knowing that parents, sisters, and anyone else who joins is a part of the family now. And they couldn't have been more thrilled.
