Separk Mansion Wedding Inspiration - Gastonia, NC
Separk Mansion Wedding Inspiration - Gastonia, NC.
From the planner: The goal was to capture a winter wedding that portrayed classic elegance while incorporating a cozy feel. Our vendors totally nailed it. Separk Mansion is the epitome of elegance, with gorgeous black and white marble floors, crown molding, chandeliers, and beautiful hardwoods. Evermore's furniture and china complimented the space beautifully and Julep Floral was able to bring that cozy feel to the table by adding birch candle holders mixed with gold elements...not to mention her gorgeous floral arrangements.
Our models, Tiffany and Kevin, were a dream to work with. Their refined look was provided by The Tuxedo Lady and Fabulous Frocks of Charlotte. Danyell from Glammed and Groomed gave Tiffany a sultry look with polished hair and deep red lips. The creativity from Cake Me Away Bakery along with the invitation suite provided by Shop Surcie just brought all the elements of this shoot together. It was truly a beautiful winter wedding!

From the Bride (about the couple):
Kevin and I met through work almost 7 years ago; however, we each worked remotely, lived in different states, and saw each other rarely so we didn’t know each other very well for quite some time. We eventually discovered a connection and began a long distance relationship – he lived in here in Charlotte, I in Cleveland, Ohio. After about a year of long distance, we moved in together here in Charlotte!
Kevin is incredibly thoughtful a very detailed planner, so I knew that whatever he put together would be really special; however, he really knocked it out of the park with a magical night!! He is heavily involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has been doing a lot of fundraising for them ever since he moved to Charlotte. Each year they plan a huge formal gala as one of their many fundraising efforts. This year he was on the planning committee for a tasting event called “Brewers Ball” where we were planning on volunteering our time to serve beer donated by the brewery he works for to guests. He was very organized – forwarded me emails detailing our loading dock time slot, set-up info, and quizzed me on the type of beer we were pouring to make sure I knew all about what we were serving.
Little did I know, this was all a rouse! He had schemed with my best friend back home to get into my secret pinterest board and designed the perfect ring, hired a photographer to capture our perfect moment, and invited a few of our friends to celebrate the night with us! We headed uptown early to meet a colleague of his to gather signage and set-up materials. We were walking through First Ward Park to meet “Brian” when he stopped me on the lawn and dropped onto one knee and popped the question (in front of a cheering crowd!)! I was so shocked and confused! It was then that he revealed that there was a photographer hiding in the bushes (she immediately took us around the city for an impropmptu proposal shoot!), that we weren’t in fact working/volunteering the tasting - but attending with friends to celebrate, and that a few of our closest friends were waiting for us nearby with champagne! We got to dance & drink the night away!
