Romantic Asheville Styled Shoot.
From the photographer: I had the amazing opportunity to create a styled Wedding at The Ridge Asheville with an incredible group of vendors. The venue, The Ridge in Asheville is breathtaking. It will quickly become one of our favorite venues in Asheville to work at. Marta Santamaria is the owner of The Venue, an event space in downtown Asheville. She brings her talent for style, energy, and successful experience in entrepreneurship to her newest venture, The Ridge. Marta is transforming what was once a private residence into a charming outdoor venue. A space that boasts rustic elegance while maintaining the natural integrity of the property.
The inspiration for this shoot was the mountains of Western NC. I love living here near Asheville and wanted to create something that reflected the romance in mountain weddings, with a bit of traditional classy and vintage feel. All the purple hues play off of the purples you will often find in a mountain sunset. Berries on the cake, because all over Western NC you will find wild blue and blackberries growing everywhere. The vintage feel of the shoot was to play off of the history that the North Carolina mountains hold and the heritage of so many mountain folks, passed down generation to generation.
I so enjoyed working on florals with Dottie from Inspired Design. Not only is Dottie a hard worker, but so personable and sweet. She made floral dreams come to life! And Nikki with East West Vintage Rental went above and beyond to help us create a gorgeous tablescape with her gorgeous farm table and mismatched china.
