Rock Quarry Farm Wedding
Rock Quarry Farm Wedding - Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Elizabeth and Nicholas tied the know in Chapel Hill at the Rock Quarry Farm.
Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
A: It sounds cliche, but the most special part of our whole wedding was our guests. Everyone who came meant something to us, and we had such an amazing group of people celebrating with us all weekend. Nick and I were in our 30s when we got married, and we both had family all over the country, friends from childhood and college and grad school and various jobs along the way. All of our guests had to come in from out of town, and we wanted to make sure that our guests knew how honored we were that they took the time out from their busy lives to celebrate with us. At the wedding reception, Nick and I left handwritten notes at everyone's seat thanking our guests for being a part of our celebration. It was a small gesture, but it made our guests feel welcome.
Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you'd like to share with other couples planning their day?
A: My best wedding planning advice is this:Perfect is the enemy of the good. Figure out the two or three things you care most about, and don't get hung up on all the other details.

Q: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
A: We met on a dating app while we were both living in Chicago. At the time, Nick was in business school and I was in my second year of residency. After we had gone on a few dates, Nick realized that my dad had been his professor in college over 10 years earlier. Before I told my parents about him, I made sure he looked up his grade in the class. He got an A.We got engaged in January on a ski trip to Taos. We had no cell phone reception that weekend, so we couldn't tell any of our family or friends until we got back. It was our little secret for those first few days.
