North Carolina Beach Weddings

North Carolina Beach Weddings - Wrightsville Beach, Emerald Isle, Topsail Island.

Couples have long held a special adoration for weddings by the sea but North Carolina beach weddings are next-level enchanting. Sharing this once-in-a-lifetime moment with the cotton candy skies high above and the pristine beaches below is a wedding gift within itself for you and your guests. Not all North Carolina beach weddings are the same. The various coastal communities that dot our shoreline are as unique as the sunrises and sunsets off the Atlantic. When a couple decides they want a North Carolina beach wedding, they must first determine what kind of wedding they want and match it up with an ideal location.

Some couples opt for beach weddings that are bright, casual and full of family fun. These events can feature beachside ceremonies with the help of lots of convenient rentals and a reception at a nearby venue that boasts both ocean views and kid-friendly amenities. Kure Beach and Carolina Beach are both great locations for a family-friendly affair. These beaches are just a short drive from Wilmington, where you can plan an event that meets all of your guests' needs.

Another way to celebrate is with a romantic and intimate wedding that beams with coastal sophistication. There are many venues along the coast that boast Southern charm and classic style, such as The Watson House in Emerald Isle or Sanderling Resort in Duck. A serene and soft ceremony followed by a luxurious reception sounds as heavenly as the lapping of the waves.

And if you want to go a step further and opt for complete seclusion, you can always plan a North Carolina beach elopement on the shores of Carova Beach, where the only method of transportation and access is by way of four-wheel drive on the beach or a boat in the canal.

Many resorts and vacation destinations offer all-inclusive packages for North Carolina couples opting for beachside weddings that help make planning a breeze. It’s important to research and see what kinds of vendors and resources are available to help plan out that special day. Many of these resorts also have private beach areas, ensuring your guest list doesn't include random beachgoers on vacation. But with any North Carolina beach wedding, always be on the lookout for weather. No matter where you find yourself on our coast, it's important to be mindful of hurricane season. And in the event of just a typical summer afternoon rain storm, always have a back-up plan in place!

When it comes to weddings at the beach, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better place to wed than at say the base of Cape Hatteras or near the blue waters of our Crystal Coast. You can’t go wrong with a North Carolina beach wedding. Not only are the options for a bucolic beachside ceremony virtually endless, you don't have to go far to find relaxation.
