Shannon and Miles had the most amazing wedding day in New Bern, North Carolina! From the ceremony in front of Tryon Palace, to the boat ride to the reception at New Bern Country Club, the entire day was one that won’t be forgotten!

Shannon and the bridesmaids spend the morning on the Tryon Palace grounds getting hair and makeup done, while the boys had brunch and hung out. The ladies were joined by Shannon’s dog, Audrey, who was there just to make the day cuter! Miles’ dad helped him get his final touches on, including a feather bow tie, while Shannon’s grandma zipped up her gown.

Once everyone was ready, we got the real fun started with Shannon sharing a first look with her dad. Everyone fought their way through tears and then we prepared for Shannon and Miles’ first look. The look on his face when he first saw Shannon said it all, she was breathtaking in her custom made gown.

The ceremony itself was gorgeous, with gold chiavari chairs and giant flower arrangements. The ceremony was a little extra special as the preacher was also a participant of mission trips to the Dominican Republic that Shannon goes on. Shannon carried a cross made from Larimar, a stone only found in the Dominican Republic and her great grandmother’s doily around her bouquet. She also had handkerchiefs from both hers and Miles’ great grandparents sewn into her dress. We can’t say it enough, we love all of these special details!

After the ceremony, the bridal party hopped on a trolley and headed to the marina where they boarded a beautiful Hatteras boat for the ride to the country club. As you will surely see from the photos they had a great time on the ride down the river. Once the guests greeted the bridal party it was time to party! Shannon changed into her reception dress and she and Miles never looked back from the dance floor!
