Mt. Pleasant Real Wedding
Mt. Pleasant Real Wedding.
From the bride: Tre asked me to be his wife on July 3rd, 2016 on the dock at my dad’s house. He grabbed my hand and asked me walk down the dock so that he could grab his shoes that he left on the boat that day. I remember he held my hand super tight as we made it to the very end of the dock. And at that time, he dropped to one knee. Right then, that day I knew I wanted to have the place we got engaged, the place we spent Sunday dinners with our families to be the place where we would say “I do”. We loved my dads home for so many reasons. As a wedding planner, I had never planned anyone’s wedding there before. J So, in that sense it was kind of “sacred” and unique. Tre loved the idea of it being a place we knew well and a place that was on the water, seeing how we are both from the low country and are definitely water babies. Being a wedding planner while planning your own wedding is a wonderful + unique feeling. Though, it kept me busy it made me realize just how important what we do is. My girls at Ooh! Tag teamed the planning process and were amazing at making me feel like “their” bride.
It was also fun seeing so many different and beautiful wedding set up’s from my brides over the course of the year and a half that we were engaged. It was wonderful but definitely hard to narrow down, colors + styles because I felt like it was constantly changing based on things I would see that I loved. I think my linen colors changed probably 32 times. It did help me empathize with my brides a little more. I think now having gone through this experience I know a little more of the areas to be sensitive on and just why there is so much emotion built in to a day. which I think it also helped to keep me grounded about what the whole experience was truly about. The two of us!!!
