Merchants Hall Wedding Inspo
Merchants Hall Wedding Inspo.
Merchants Hall is a brand new wedding venue in historic downtown Charleston, surrounded by so much history by being directly parallel to the Charleston City Market. A timeless building, restored from the past, bringing in a fresh and modern twist, this venue made the perfect backdrop for this modern wedding shoot.
The building features gorgeous chandeliers and exposed brick, so we wanted to bring in pops of colors that would complement and reflect well on the blank space. By bringing in bold colors like red, plum, purple, and gold, we achieved just this. Alongside this, we chose modern pieces to accessorize the space, such as clear infinity ghost chairs, a modern crescent inspired floral design that truly was a standalone art piece, and modern attire such as the chic silhouette of the bridal gown, and plum colored tux, breaking away from classic Charleston traditions.
The best part was the tablescape that was designed to be the perfect compliment. With bold features such as the concrete inspired plating, grape escort card holders, bold florals, perfectly curated with fruit and soft romantic candlelit accents, it was completely a showstopper that was so fun to design.
We also incorporated art while carefully selecting a few canvases that spoke to the inspiration board, as well as having personal touches such as paint brushes and holders, and paint palettes to completely tie in the theme together.
This shoot was so fun to work with, alongside some of Charleston's finest venue, at this classic, timeless venue.
