Hot Pink Charleston SC Wedding
Hot Pink Charleston SC Wedding.
Casey and Mark were married in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. They were engaged in February of this year on Kiawah Island just outside of Charleston. Their entire relationship was formed in and around Charleston, so it only made sense that their wedding stay true to their love of the Holy City. During their engagement session this past Spring, I loved hearing from Casey and Mark about their nightly walks on Daniel Island and we were lucky enough to get to photograph them in some of their favorite spots around the Island.
Casey and Mark were blessed with perfect weather on their wedding day, even though we were expecting rain, but was beautiful and there was even a pleasant, little breeze. It wasn’t sweltering or too humid.
Keeping true to the colors of historical Charleston, Casey and Mark’s wedding venue, the William Aiken House, was sprinkled with bold colors of hot pink, royal blue, and lots of gold. The William Aiken House is a victorian home right in the heart of downtown Charleston on Kings Street. It was seriously a dream!
Some of our most favorite parts of their day were their “first touch” complete with a prayer and lots of sweet Casey-tears. Their outdoor ceremony had the most gorgeous backdrop for them to say their vows, with a gorgeous, towering pergola and bridge. We loved hearing how much Casey and Mark’s siblings love them in the toasts they gave right before the cake cutting. Lots of humor, and a few tears snuck in there too! It is evident that these two are so loved! To top off the night, Casey and Mark rode away from their perfect day in a 1961 Rolls Royce for their getaway car!
