Highlands NC Luxury Real Wedding
From the bride:
We knew we wanted the wedding to be in Highlands. My grandparents live in Highlands, and I grew up spending summers and holidays there. We wanted a classic, timeless and formal wedding, but also wanted to incorporate a “mountain feel” where we could. I wanted to use deep green florals because it reminds me of the surroundings in Highlands. We also incorporated some magnolia leaves because my mother and grandmother always had magnolias in the yard and magnolia leaves throughout the house. Our color palette was green, black, white and gold, and the bridesmaids and groomsmen both wore black.
We were a nervous wreck about the weather leading up to the wedding. The weather was stormy and crazy the few days before the wedding weekend and it was a struggle for some guests to drive to Highlands; however, the skies cleared and the weather was absolutely beautiful for the whole weekend. It was cold enough on the wedding night to light the fireplaces throughout the venue, which created the most magical atmosphere.
