From the bride and groom: We both wanted a garden ceremony but a romantic indoor reception, preferably something with a lot of chandeliers. We were immediately in love, when we saw Highgrove Estate. We wanted to incorporate some Southern touches to the wedding day for our Northeastern friends and family. So a southern estate like Highgrove was perfect! And we also added some classic southern dishes like chicken and waffles. We also tried to add some personal touches to the wedding, like our wedding favors. Jordan and I have both developed our love for tea together! So we picked out some amazing teas from Green Mountain Herbs and hand packaged it for our guests.
What was the highlight of the day? We had heard from so many of our friends that the wedding day passes by really quick. So we tried to plan little things into the wedding day that would give us some alone time to take it all in. My favorite was the last dance we had together, just us, in the beautiful ballroom dancing under the soft glow of the chandeliers, while the guests were lining up for our send off. It was a beautiful moment, to take in the amazing day we had had. We felt so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by friends and family who love us so much.
Anything else you would like to share to future brides? Definitely try to understand your own style before picking vendors. I spent hours on Pinterest understanding what I loved and didn't love and also looking at the portfolios of vendors to see who would be a good match. And then just trust them to do what they do best! We loved each and every one of our vendors and truly appreciate how hard they all worked to make our wedding day special!
