High School Sweetheart Wedding in Wake Forest, NC.
From the bride: Zack and I both grew up in Raleigh but went to different schools. My junior year of high school, a close friend reached out to me and mentioned she had a friend who she thought I would hit it off with that needed a date to prom. That friend was Zack. Zack and I met in person for the first time at Outback for her birthday dinner, hung out a handful of times after initially meeting, went to Prom together, became “official” Prom night and nine years later, we’re married and the rest is history! Of course, that close friend who introduced us was one of my bridesmaids in our wedding.
For our friends and family to gather in one place, at the same time, and make ever lasting memories of such a special day with GREAT music. With both of our parents being divorced, we can count on one hand how many times we’ve had all immediate family together! Aesthetically, I wanted something classic, with lots of natural elements and neutral tones.
Other than marrying my best friend, I’d have to say having some of my very closest friends all together the night before the wedding for a girls night then waking up the day of the wedding and sharing champagne, music and lots of laughs.
Advice to future brides! It’s so true what everyone says, the day of your wedding will fly by- try to savor every moment. Enjoy yourself and make memories with your guests, don’t worry about trying to say “hi” to everyone. Before the big day, make a mental list of a few people you’d like to talk to at the reception, then celebrate! Your guests love you, that’s why they’re there (and to have a good time) so enjoy! You can take the time to write a sweet note after the wedding.
