Gadsden House Charleston Wedding - South Carolina
Gadsden House Charleston Wedding.
Jeff and Stephanie celebrated their wedding at the Gadsden House in the charming city of Charleston, S.C. It was a day filled with the best things about Southern weddings including great food, great fashion and an unspeakable gentility one need only experience. Thanks to the assistance of Charleston Weddings by Allison, Jeff and Stephanie’s day was picture perfect from start to finish.
This couple truly embraced the city of Charleston and used it as their inspiration, including in their invitation suite which featured a picture of the city.
Stephanie was a classic bride with modern style. She chose to walk down the aisle in gorgeous peep toe heels that complemented her lace fit-and-flare gown from J. Major’s. The bows on her heels and the bow on her dress were sweet, noticeable touches.
Brooke Images took photos for the big day and started when the bride got ready with her family and bridesmaids by her side. The stunning brunette also grabbed her bridesmaids, who all wore long gray bridesmaid dresses from Jenny Yoo, and took photos outside before the ceremony.
Jeff differentiated himself from his group of black tuxedo-clad groomsmen with a white tuxedo jacket.
All the gentlemen donned classic white boutonnieres for a fine finishing touch.
The entire bridal party took photos in the heart of Charleston before the ceremony, with Jeff and Stephanie hand-in-hand leading the way.
For their ceremony, the couple joined together under a modern chandelier in the historic manor’s garden courtyard.
In front of friends and family, the veiled Stephanie and smiling Jeff said “I do.”
Guests retreated indoors for the reception, where they were greeted by a lovely floral seating chart – a perfect preview of the evening to come. The florals for the big day were a mixture of classic roses, pale pink chrysanthemums, dusty miller and eucalyptus for a light and airy presentation.
Crisp and bright reception tables provided by Ooh Events were draped with light gray linens. Modern gold lanterns dotted the center of each table along with a floral runner for seamless modern elegance.
The couple celebrated throughout the evening enjoying a cake from Wild Flour Pastry, dining and dancing with their loved ones and of course, leaving through a spectacular sparkler exit.
But any Charleston event is not truly complete without a ride on one of the city’s rickshaws!
The historic Gadsden House may have originated in 1798 but it was the ideal location for Jeff and Stephanie’s modern-meets-classic wedding. With its versatile canvas, the couple were able to create a memorable experience that was as stylish and graceful as they are.
