Fall Salisbury NC Wedding.

I was so honored to be a part of Chris and Ashley’s wedding. Ashley was my MOH when I got married in 2009 and I was so proud to help her get ready and stand next to her for about a minute before resuming my other role as the photographer.

We started the day at Ashley’s grandmothers home where we had our hair done by one of her cousins. We were singing along to the music, laughing and eating some amazing food by Ashley’s aunt. It wasn’t long after that, that it was time for Ashley to get into her dress.

While Ashley was getting ready, so was Chris. He was so excited and only nervous just a little. He was smiling from ear to ear and it was a pleasure spending a little time with him. He looked sharp in an all black suit and bow tie. And lastly, Ashley gifted him a beautiful watch to wear on their wedding day.

Ashley wanted to do something a little different than our typical first looks and it turned out amazing. Ashley’s parents and grandparents were married within a few minutes from the venue. Ashley shared a first look with her grandparents on the steps of the church they got married and then followed with a first look with her Dad on the steps of the church her parents got married at.

The ceremony was beautiful and entertaining. Oh, we forgot to put the sand on the table for the unity sand ceremony. Oops. Ashley’s grandfather was the officiant for the ceremony. Chris couldn’t take his eyes off Ashley and Ashle was smiling and twirling her dress from side to side as she has always done since she was a little girl. Ashley and Chris became Mr. & Mrs. in front of all of their closest family and friends.

The reception was so much fun. It was nice to be able to be a part of it without having to look through a camera. Usually, I am working and never get to dance, photobomb all the photo booth photos and hang out with the bride. We had a blast dancing, singing to our favorite childhood songs. Eating some yummy pie and watching Ashley and Chris cut their cake with the same sword her mom and dad did when they got married.
