Fall Lowcountry Wedding
Fall Lowcountry wedding located in Beaufort, South Carolina
Danielle Denk was just a freshman at Clemson University when she told her mother she met the man she was going to marry - Ford Collins. Five years later he popped the question at his family's home in Beaufort, South Carolina. The couple decided to make the property their reception venue, Danielle explains. "The Collins’ backyard opens up to the water where we have watched many sunsets together. Not only is this where we got engaged on the boat exactly a year before our wedding day, but this is where we enjoy spending a lot of our time."
Danielle and Ford chose the breathtaking, outdoor Old Sheldon Church Ruins for their ceremony and buried a bottle of bourbon on site - a Southern tradition that ensures a rain-less wedding. Danielle was a hands-on bride, "One of my favorite memories was during a planning weekend where we had the whole family out in the backyard, measuring and flagging off tables and chairs and dance floors and everyone was working together to figure out where things would go." DIY elements like the invitations (a collaboration between her and her cousin) and personal details like her mother and father's champagne flutes and a signature cocktail created by her sister made the day incredibly special.
WED took the reigns on the big day, so Danielle and Ford could savor every moment and cake (they had three!) The evening ended with "Shout" and as Danielle and Ford exited by boat they couldn't have felt more loved.
