Corley Mill House SC Wedding Shoot
Corley Mill House SC Wedding Shoot. What does the modern Southern Belle look like? That was the question this group of vendors answered when putting together this inspirational shoot. We worked hard to put together the dreamiest garden wedding inspiration featuring gold details, a stunning Southern bride, and her handsome groom in a dapper navy tux. The Eugenia Couture gown from London and Lace was the icing on the cake for this shoot and shows the true definition of the modern Southern Belle. At first glance, you get your ballroom gown, but when the bride starts to walk you then see the modern play of high skirt with shorts beneath the skirt. The Black Tux provided the dapper wear for our male model, Brian Gardner. Paper Dreams & Keepsakes fused together the vision of lace, silk and sparkle into a gorgeous invitation suite. Leen Machine Calligraphy provided all the calligraphy, including hand-lettered gold foil South Carolina cut outs. Xpressions Floral Design created the lush florals that complimented the bride and sweetheart table perfectly. Charmingly Southern Vintage Rentals provided the dusty blue velvet couch, patterned dinner plates and gold candle sticks. Our female model, Jessica Brady, is a makeup artist as well and did her own flawless makeup for the shoot. Silver Spoon Bake Shop provided the three gorgeous cakes which feature some stunning gold design and blush accents. Silver Spoon Bake Shop incorporated the pearls, metallic gold and shades of pink into the design, because does it get any more Southern than pearls and pink? I don't think so! Kayla of Vivid: Cut. Color. Style. was on hand to give our bride a stunning loose braid, because Southern girls love their long hair but do not have time for it to be in their faces! Southern(er)s are all about helping one another and the gold flatware was provided by a friend from Molly Fornadel Events Design. The gold rimmed chargers and plates came from Pier 1 Imports, and to round out the vision, the pink chiffon runner, gold sequin runner and peach disk sequin tablecloth were used to soften the rustic look of the barn table provided by the Corley Mill House. All in all, this shoot is meant to give brides, Southern or not, inspiration into how to make their day perfectly classic and modern, in perfect balance. From the planner, Avila Dawn Events: What did you envision your wedding being prior to planning? This styled shoot was all about capturing the modern Southern Belle. What was your color palette and your style vision? This shoot was about combining elements representative of being a Belle and adding some sparkle. We selected shades of pink, peach, marsala and metallic gold, which complemented the gardens of The Corley Mill House. What unique elements or DIY details did you include? To show the love of the Southern Belle for her state, we used South Carolina cut outs for place cards and incorporated the first verse of the Carolina Girl song into signage. If this was a real Southern wedding, the Carolina Girl song would be playing and some serious shagging would be happening on the dance floor.
