Conway SC Wedding.
From beginning to end, Mckenzie & Drew’s wedding day at Upper Mill Plantation, was an absolute dream! Married on the most beautiful weekend in April, this sweet couple had a wedding day to envy. I knew when I was lucky enough to join these two on this journey to wedding bells that their ceremony and reception would be one for the books. Mckenzie & her mom, Wendy (who is so sweet), put in so much work to find the perfect vintage pieces that gave this day the exact look this couple wanted. Hard work paid off and every detail was stunning! Even though I’ve been with Mrs. Wendy on several occasions, I had the honor of meeting Mckenzie’s dad for the first time two weeks prior to the wedding and truly feel like I’ve known him my whole life. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Mckenzie over the past year and love the dynamic that she and Drew have together. It is immediately evident that on this day they each married their best friend. Drew can make Mckenzie laugh on demand (I hear he is the comedian among the group of 5 siblings), and Drew honestly looks as if his entire room was lit when Mckenzie walks in it. Their bridal party was so much fun! It was clear to see how each one was important to the bride and groom and just how interwoven their friendships truly were. Who knew that moms growing up on the same street would ultimately sit side by side as their children promised forever?
Mckenzie’s was stunning in her lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and blush underlay.Rich hues of plum & sangria perfectly complimented the soft champagne tones and greenery throughout. Draping florals and vintage chandeliers created the most beautiful setting for the nuptials. The couple’s I Dos were said under a beautiful arbor in the side yard of Upper Mill Plantation. The reception was packed full of fun from beginning to end with two gorgeous speeches, one by Mckenzie’s sister and the other by Drew’s twin brother. The band kept the party going out on the dock where there was plenty of singing and dancing. Right as the night was coming to a close, Drew spoke to guests and the bride and groom dedicated their last dance to their awesome friends and family! Guests toasted the couple right before they saw them off with a fun sparkler exit.
