Blowing Rock NC Wedding
Blowing Rock NC Wedding.
We met in Raleigh through mutual friends. This was actually a few years before we started dating. The first time I saw her I was blown away and immediately attracted to her. I can only assume the feeling was mutual, but we lived a few hours apart and were in different stages of our lives. I ended up moving to Charlotte a couple of years later, which was about an hour and a half closer to Hickory (where Madison had been living). We eventually found ourselves texting and getting to know one another a lot more. She decided to make a trip to Charlotte one January weekend (2013) and we immediately knew that we had something special. For the next year and a half, we dated long distance, rotating weekends in Charlotte and Hickory. We began talking about her possibly moving to the big city and the very first apartment we looked at, we signed a lease and moved to South End! Going from the long-distance to living in a one-bedroom was certainly an adjustment but once we survived that, I knew we could survive anything. We enjoyed attending concerts, breweries and sporting events, as well as all of our friends’ weddings. We went to A LOT of weddings together, so we knew exactly what we wanted/didn’t want on our special day. We eventually found ourselves down in Fort Mill, SC where we currently live now. All in all, we dated for almost 5 years before the proposal. We were both ready to start our family and enter the next chapters of our life.
