Biltmore Estate NC Engagement
Biltmore Estate NC Engagement. My cousin Jacob proposed to his Fiance Jaclyn in June last year. They then reached out to me about shooting their engagement session. I live in Nashville now and they live in Illinois. Jacob wanted something epic. His sister Sarah had a really pretty engagement shoot in Colorado that a friend had done for them and they wanted to one up her. Sarah and Jacob have a long running sibling rivalry of having to one up one another on just about everything they do. It's their love language i think :).
I kept thinking about places I'd shot, and nothing was sticking out to me as ""Epic" enough for Jacob and Jaclyn. So I started thinking about where I "Wanted" to shoot. In the Southeast nothing seems more epic than the Biltmore Estate. A truly amazing place, an estate in the truest sense of the word, and impressive in both scope and architecture, as well as one of the most beautiful places I've ever walked around.
I sent Jacob and Jaclyn a link, and told them my thoughts, they were immediately in. We set the shoot date for October 21st, and let the excitement build. When the 21st rolled around we started the long drive East from Nashville to Asheville. It was a classic road trip, a special playlist for the day, coffee in hand, and lots of laughs as we shared stories from our childhood with Jaclyn. As the Smokey Mountains began to surround us, the colors began to shine through in deep maroons, yellows, and ambers. A warm front mixing with the chilly, wet mountain air, gave way to wisps of fog rolling over the mountains and through the valleys.
The Estate was everything we hoped for. It was truly epic, and while the pictures speak for themselves I can't say enough about how perfect the day went. Jacob and Jaclyn were a dream to shoot, and their love melted everyone who saw them into big smiles. They were nothing but smiles, kisses, and laughs all day.
