701 Whaley SC Wedding
701 Whaley SC Wedding. With just the right amount of edge from the reception venue's industrial feel, Brittany and Andy, who were high school sweethearts, pulled off a perfectly timeless wedding... With a bright blush color, a beautiful Maggie Sottero ballgown, classic black tuxes, beautiful florals with plenty of classic greenery, and all of it happening under the wedding planning direction of Liz Hefka of By Invitation Only, the Fogles said "I do" on May 12th in Columbia, South Carolina on their NINTH anniversary.
From the Bride, Brittany: " Our wedding is a little whimsical but at the same time traditional. Our colors are blush pink and gold. I've always dreamt of being a "cinderella" bride and fortunately I think we were able to come pretty close. We are getting married in my family's church. It will be a catholic ceremony without the full mass. Then we are headed over to a really awesome mill house that has tons of character. We're going to have chandeliers throughout the room and gold accents and we will be surrounded by all of our favorite people!
Andy and I met in High School. I had the biggest crush ever and one of my best friends is his cousin and when I told her she made sure he knew. We quickly became best friends and eventually were inseparable. We would talk on the phone every night for hours and text all day long! I was head over heels in a matter of months! After about 8 months Andy asked me to be his girlfriend on 5/12/08. 9 years later here we are!!
As far as our proposal goes, I'm not going to lie I suspected it was coming. We had been together for 6 and a half years and I was basically sending him a new ring photo every day. Sometimes through email, sometimes through text. sometimes I'd print them and leave them around the house.. I was VERY subtle ;)
We decided to go on a cruise together since we had a week vacation and no where to go. As soon as we booked the cruise Andy started acting really weird. He totally gave it away LOL he started asking a lot more ring questions and insisting I should get my nails done. Anyway Flash forward to the cruise.
It was our first official day and we were at sea and it was not fun. Andy wouldn't talk to me. Everything I said he would just nod or grunt in response. I asked him what he wanted to eat for lunch and he would shrug. He disappeared for almost an hour at one point "going to the bathroom" and I was seriously wondering if he wanted to break up with me LOL
When we got back to our room I was really nervous! I thought he was seriously trying to plan his escape off this boat..
But he reassured me that He was just thinking and everything was fine and he couldn't wait for dinner.
We got ready (it was formal night) and Andy insisted that we go take a picture at the back of the boat in the spot we found before the sun set. His hands were sweating and he was practically running there. I could barely keep up! When we got out to the deck there was one small family there eating dinner and he went over to her and asked her to take our photo. She GASPED!!! it turns out that Andy had said " please just keep taking photos I'm going to propose." I was standing there freaking out when he came back over to me. We took one photo together smiling and the next thing I know he was down on his knee. He said Brittany Marie Osmanski, will you marry me?? and of course I said YES!!"
